As the owner and operator of Clean Sweep Professional Cleaning Services for over 20 years, Doug Moerschbacher began to notice an increasing demand from his customers for a qualified rug washer for their priceless oriental rugs. Knowing that oriental rugs require special care, Doug began to learn everything he could about their care, provenance and value, and he soon fell in love with these masterpieces of textile artistry. He quickly realized the need for a technologically advanced rug care facility in Central Pennsylvania and began investing in the specialized equipment and training. By 2012 the rug washing portion of the business had grown so much that Doug and his wife Amanda decided to spinoff the rug care division, so they could focus on the portion of the business that Doug was most passionate about.
Doug's Rug Care can safely and thoroughly hand wash and repair any oriental or fine area rug at our state-of-the-art facility in Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania and we offer pick-up and delivery throughout Central Pennsylvania, including State College, Lock Haven and Lewiston.
