We began as a small rug store on Maryland Avenue in downtown Annapolis, MD – importing and retailing fine quality hand woven rugs from around the world. Also provided services for rug upkeep, including repair and cleaning by hand. We decided to close the retail operation in Annapolis and focused specifically on rug care. Family owned & operated – led by Mr. Wardak and his four sons. Capital Rug Cleaning opened it's doors in the Spring of 2010 with a passion for providing exceptional, honest, and quality rug care services including genuine hand-washing, expert repair, rug appraisals (free knowledge), and rug protection (Mothproofing / Scotchgard / Padding). We do not use scrubbing machines or automated systems. Oriental rugs and textiles are intertwined with our family culture and we have a vast knowledge and strong passion for them. We strive to combat the spread of misinformation about genuine rug care and cleaning.
We are not wall to wall carpet cleaners. We only offer In-plant Oriental rug cleaning (by hand-washing / no machinery), expert rug repair fringe, edge, moth damage, moth-proofing wool rugs – all repair work done by master weaver onsite. Additional services include antique rug appraisals/valuations, secure storage, scotchgard, rug padding and underlays. We buy rugs and sell rugs. End result – cleaner & healthier rug for you & your family.
