The Tribal Looms was started by Hossein C. in 1984 and since then servicing clients from all over the world. Hossein originally moved to the United States with a dream for himself and his family. He first opened a small shop in Evanston, IL featuring antique rugs. After several years he then moved to Kenilworth, IL, where he expanded his business to serve residents of The North Shore. In 2006, The Tribal Looms found home in River North located just a few blocks from the Merchandise Mart. Hossein's considered one of the top expert antique rug dealers in the world and commits himself to offering value to clients. Hossein travels around the world to personally see, select and buy some of the best antique rugs out there. His inventory now includes rugs from places like Germany, France, Belgium, Iran, Turkey, United State and Canada. All decorative rugs are individually selected by him. Welcome!
Since 1984, we offer an exclusive selection of hand-made antique and newer decorative Persian, Caucasian, and Oriental rugs. My father's been in this business for over 30 years collecting and acquiring many of these pieces. We specialize in hand cleaning/washing and professional restorations/repairs.
