In 1958, Robert Lindoo's full time job was in the maintenance department at the Aurora Beacon News. The editor of the newspaper once said “you have so much ambition, you should start your own cleaning service.” These words were the start of A. Lindoo. That spring there was a new bank building being built on Aurora's west side. It's name was Improvement Federal Savings and Loan Association. It was the first cleaning contract bid made by A. Lindoo Building Maintenance and the first awarded to us. The original 58 year old contract papers were found a couple years ago in the old banks files and turned over to us. Today they hang framed on the A. Lindoo Building Maintenance office wall as a reminder what can be accomplished if you try your best. In 1995, Robert Lindoo retired and sold the business to Rodney A. Lindoo. Under his direction, A. Lindoo Building Maintenance is still cleaning office buildings in the Aurora, North Aurora, Batavia and Montgomery area.
