I started the business after being employeed as a technician by a “fly by night” company prior. The consumer would answer a low cost enticing ad (bait and switch). Our duty was to increase job costs as much as possible, without getting kicked out of the house (commissions), do as little as possible, get to the next one, and do it all over again. The techs that did this the best, regardless of the customers needs, were offered cream of the crop jobs so the office manager was assured his highest commission rate (greed). It didn't sit well with me and I quit! But a really good thing came of it and inspired me to start my own business with a different theory, this one: Come from a place of respect, knowledge, and integrity.
