The founder, Alan (Skinny) Landreth, started the business in a Quonset Hut (e.g., aircraft hangar) behind the Whittier Ice Cream Company. Upon Landreth's death in 1955, Bill and Maxine Mosher purchased the Hadley street business. Bill was involved in the development of the Lieb non-immersion fur and drapery cleaning machines that are still the safest, most environmentally friendly method available to date. Previous owner Jim Bockholt, in his 40+ years of cleaning experience, served as the LA Co Director of the Carpet and Fabricare Institute from 1994 to 1996. For 6 years he was on the C.F.I. Board of Directors and in 1996, Jim was presented the “Bill Bailey” award for outstanding service in the industry. Current owner Ken Yanagihara, has continued to bring customers quality service with his 28 years of industry experience.
