In 1975, Mr. Ed Momeni was only 25 years of age when he founded the well-known, national, rug-wholesaler “Momeni, Inc. of New York.” Due to his passion for fine rugs and his background in architecture, he was able to grow the company to one of the top rug importers and wholesalers in the country; all in less than 4 years. In 2001, Arizona Rug Company went on sale due to internal management challenges and financial hardships. Even though it was a challenging situation, Mr. Momeni purchased the company, moved to Arizona, and set out to turn it around. He elevated quality standards and introduced innovative new shopping experience through the Arm-Rack system. The company weathered recession and now, with its new Tempe superstore and its online website sales, has become the largest Arizona rug store.
