Dave Pastor, the owner, grew up working for his dad's carpet store up in New Jersey (thus the name). After moving south to go to school and then moving to Birmingham to help with a church planting, Dave started Dad's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning. As a small business start up company in an unfamiliar city, it was challenging at first. “I used to give my services away, just so people would try me. And that is really how Dad's got started here”. Well now Birmingham residents have come to love the service and results they get when they call Dad's. The business has grown from a one man, a cleaning van and a cell phone, to an office staff, 4 trucks and a full rug cleaning facility in Pelham.
